Known as the Art Capital of the Southwest, the arts are
a major attraction for the city. The gallery scene is enhanced
by Culture Quest Scottsdale who sponsor events, workshops and
gallery tours. A popular weekly event is the Thursday evening
Scottsdale Artwalk, galleries offer an open house event and
some are accompanied by music, entertainment and art demonstrations.
Numerous galleries are situated all around the city with most
in the downtown area, only a select few are mentioned on this
site.Yearly the city budgets to purchase fine works of art and
sculpture to be displayed throughout the cityscape.
