With weather that seldom disappoints, Scottsdale is an
amazing sports town. In close proximity to Phoenix, major
pro sports teams make the area home. The PGA plays the Phoenix
Open at the TPC and draws the largest attendance of any tournament
on the PGA tour. The San Francisco Giants have their spring
training camp in Scottsdale and play pre-season games at the
Scottsdale Stadium. The NHL Phoenix Coyotes also call Scottsdale
home and train here, although home games are played in neighboring
Phoenix. Just 2 miles south of town in Tempe, the NCAA holds
its annual national football championship at the Fiesta Bowl.
Also look for championship tennis, rodeos and horse shows
in Scottsdale and vicinity, its a sports paradise!
